About the Club

Built on the Course.

The 51 Club started as a side bet between friends and turned into the only side game worth playing. Here's the story.

The Origin

How It Started.

It started on a Tuesday morning at Hawk's Landing. Four players, a $5 bill, and a dare. Someone said if you ace it, everyone pays. Someone else said if you hit the chains and miss, you pay everyone. Nobody argued. The game was on.

That round, nobody aced. But three metal hits happened in nine holes. Twelve dollars changed hands before the back nine. By the time the round ended, everyone wanted to play again the next week.

The 51 Club grew from there — round by round, course by course, player by player. The bag tag came later, as a way to know who was in before the first tee. Now it's the only credential that matters.

Who It's For

For Players Who Mean It.

Casual rounds, real stakes.

You don't have to be a pro. You just have to be willing to back your game with a few dollars. The 51 Club runs alongside any round, any format, any skill level.

Groups of any size.

Two players or twenty — the math scales. More players in the game means bigger payouts on aces and bigger costs on metal hits. The game gets better as the group grows.

Any course, any day.

The 51 Club has no home course. If you're clipped in and declared, you're playing — at your local park, a destination course, or a tournament warm-up round.

No scorekeeping required.

The 51 Club runs on two events: aces and metal hits. No handicaps, no scorecards, no apps. Just the sound of chains and the sound of cash.

What We Stand For

The Code.

01

Pay on the spot.

No IOUs. No "I'll get you next round." The 51 Club runs on immediate settlement. That's what makes it real.

02

Declare before you play.

You're either in or you're out before the first tee. No retroactive claims, no opting in after an ace.

03

Carry your tag.

The bag tag is your proof of play. No tag visible means you're not in the game that round, regardless of what you say.

04

Disputes go to the group.

Majority rules on contested metal hits. No arguments, no appeals. The group decides and the game moves on.
